A great design that ships wrong is just an expensive sample.

Most production disasters are not factory failures — they are communication failures. A vague tech pack means guessed measurements, wrong trims, off colorways, and a sample round you did not budget for. Design Land has spent 20+ years writing the production files behind Wrangler, Aeropostale, Joe Boxer, and Umbro — 100M+ products built from our specs. We speak fluent factory, so your vision survives the trip overseas.

What You Get

Everything production needs, nothing guessed.

Complete, factory-ready documentation — from first flat sketch to approved sample.

Complete apparel tech packs
Technical flats, construction callouts, points of measure, grading notes, and bill of materials — the full spec sheet a factory can quote and build from without a single follow-up email.
Colorway sheets & material specs
Colorways with Pantone callouts, fabric and trim specifications, and label and packaging specs — so every component matches the line plan.
Print & graphic production art
Placement prints, repeats, and color separations prepared to spec — sized, positioned, and production-ready for screen print, embroidery, or sublimation.
Sample review & spec revisions
We stay through the sample rounds — reviewing protos against spec, marking corrections, and updating the pack until the garment is approved for production.
Why Brands Trust Our Tech Packs

Specs written by people who’ve shipped at scale.

Factory-fluent
Our packs are written the way factories read them — fewer questions, fewer wrong samples, faster time to production.
Proven at 100M+ units
These are not template downloads — they are the same production standards behind national brands and major retail programs.
Design-to-production
Because we are also a brand and apparel design studio, nothing gets lost between the concept and the spec — the pack protects the design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tech packs, answered.

What is a tech pack, and what does yours include?
A tech pack is the technical blueprint a factory uses to build your garment. Ours include technical flats, construction details, points of measure, grading notes, bill of materials, colorway sheets with Pantone callouts, trim and label specs, and any print or embroidery production art — everything needed to quote and produce accurately.
Can you build a tech pack from a sketch, photo, or existing garment?
Yes. We regularly work from rough sketches, reference photos, mood boards, or a physical sample you want to reproduce or modify. We draw the technical flats and write the full spec from there.
What format do you deliver in?
Editable Adobe Illustrator files plus factory-friendly PDFs, organized by style. If your manufacturer or PLM system needs a specific template, we build to it.
How much do tech pack design services cost, and how fast?
Pricing depends on the number of styles and complexity. The $250 kickoff scopes your line precisely and applies as a credit toward the work. Single styles typically turn around in days, full collections in weeks.
Do you also design the apparel and the brand?
Yes — that is our home turf. Many clients start with tech packs and grow into apparel graphics, brand identity, line sheets, and the sales presentations that get the line in front of buyers.
