Designland NYC — Line Sheet & Catalog Design

Line sheet design,
built to write orders.

A buyer gives your range a few minutes, and the line sheet is what they read. Designland designs wholesale line sheets and seasonal catalogs for apparel brands, importers and licensees. Every style, colorway, size range, price and delivery is on the page, laid out the way retail buyers actually read a line.

Designland is a New York City studio that designs line sheets and wholesale catalogs for apparel brands selling into retail.

The line sheet is the most-read document in wholesale and usually the least designed. Most arrive as a spreadsheet with thumbnails pasted in, or as a beautiful lookbook that leaves out the price, the minimum and the ship date. A buyer needs both at once: product that looks the way it will on the floor, and every number needed to write an order without a follow-up email. Designland builds line sheets from the product up. We design the CADs ourselves, so the images are presentation-quality boards rather than rough flats. Then we build the pages around the order: style numbers, colorways, sizes, wholesale and retail price, minimums and ship windows, organized by story and delivery. The same studio builds the buyer deck and the brand around it, so every document a buyer sees tells the same story.

What we deliver

Everything a buyer needs to say yes.

From a single line sheet to a full season's catalog, done in-house by one studio.

Wholesale line sheets
Every style with its number, name, colorways, size range, fabric content, wholesale price, suggested retail, minimums and delivery window, set up so a buyer can mark an order straight from the page.
Presentation-quality CADs
Product images that read like the finished garment, not grey flats. If you do not have them yet, we design the CADs and colorways ourselves, so the line sheet looks like the line.
Seasonal catalogs & lookbooks
A season told as stories and deliveries, with photography or CAD boards, for showroom appointments, trade shows and the follow-up email after them.
Order forms & editable files
Matching order forms, email-ready PDFs and working files your team can update when a price, a color or a date changes mid-season.
Account-specific editions
The same range cut for one retailer: their categories, their price points and their delivery calendar, so the version in front of the buyer shows only what they can buy.
Buyer decks & sell-in presentations
When the appointment needs more than a line sheet, the pitch deck that frames the brand and the range, built from the same artwork. See sales presentation design
Why brands work with us

A line sheet is a sales tool. Most are designed like a spreadsheet.

01
Built for how buyers read
Styles grouped by story, category and delivery, with the key numbers in the same place on every page, so the buyer never has to email back to ask.
02
Product that looks like product
Photoreal CAD boards instead of rough flats. Buyers commit to what they can picture on their floor.
03
One source from CAD to order
The CADs, tech packs and line sheets come from one studio, so style numbers, color names and prices match across every document the buyer and the factory see.
04
Twenty years of sell-in
We have built sell-in materials for licensed and private-label programs shipping to national retailers, and we know what a buyer checks first.
Work & ways to work

From one line sheet to every season.

Line sheets that went into real appointments, and the two ways to hire us for yours.

Paris Saint-Germain × CRASH × Tango Hotel
The line sheet that sold the capsule, alongside the product design, tech packs, packaging and in-store graphics. The range launched at PSG's Champs-Élysées store and sold out. Read the case study
Betty Boop bath, body & gift
A licensed program built from presentation boards through line sheets, packaging art and a full retail planogram, followed by a second opening-price program for the same licensee.
The Seasonal Catalog Program
For brands that sell every season: catalog or lookbook, line sheets and sales collateral, with print vendor management, at $12,000 per season. Annual two-season agreements available. See pricing
Need one line sheet, not a program?
Our design support service covers single line sheets and small ranges, priced per style or by the week, with no proposal round. See design support
How it works

From style list to appointment-ready.

Four steps, and you know the cost before the work starts.

1
Free 20-minute intro call
Tell us what you are selling, to whom and when the appointment is. You will get a straight answer on scope and roughly what it would take.
2
A firm cost
A single line sheet is quoted per style. A full season or catalog starts with a $450 Strategy & Scope Session that produces a scoped plan and a firm cost, and the $450 is credited in full against the project.
3
Design and build
Send what you have: a style list, prices, deliveries, samples or sketches. We design the CADs where needed, build the pages, and you review a full draft before anything is final.
4
Ready for the room
Print-ready and email-ready files, plus editable working files, so your team can keep the line sheet current through the season.
Frequently asked questions

Line sheet design, answered.

What should be on a wholesale line sheet?
Each style needs a style number and name, a clear product image, its colorways, the size range and fabric content, the wholesale price and suggested retail price, the minimum order and the delivery or ship window. The sheet should also carry your brand contact and ordering terms. Group styles by collection or delivery so a buyer can plan a floor set, and keep every number in the same place on every page.
What is the difference between a line sheet and a lookbook?
A lookbook sells the mood: styled photography that shows how the collection feels. A line sheet sells the order: every style with its colors, sizes, prices and ship dates. Buyers need both, and a seasonal catalog can combine them, with story pages up front and order pages behind them.
What is the difference between a line sheet and a buyer deck?
The line sheet is the reference a buyer writes the order from. The buyer deck is the presentation used in the appointment to frame the brand, the customer and the range before anyone looks at a price. Designland builds both from the same artwork, so the story told in the room matches the pages the buyer keeps.
Can you make a line sheet if I don't have product photos yet?
Yes. Most line sheets are built before production samples exist. We design presentation-quality CADs and colorways that read like the finished garment, so the line sheet is ready for the appointment weeks before photography would be.
How long does line sheet design take?
Typically 3 to 5 days per season once we have your style list, pricing and images or CADs. If we are designing the CADs first, we add roughly 24 to 48 hours per style for those.
How much does line sheet design cost?
A single line sheet or a small range is quoted per style through our design support service, with no proposal round. A full season's catalog or lookbook, line sheets and sales collateral runs through the Seasonal Catalog Program at $12,000 per season, and annual two-season agreements are available. Every larger project starts with a free 20-minute intro call.
Do you work with brands outside New York?
Yes. The studio is New York City based and appointment-only, and most line sheet and catalog work runs remotely with brands across the US and abroad.
