Goodbye 2020

Hello everyone,

We hope you are doing wonderfully this end of year, and that you are reflecting upon your own accomplishments over this past year. At Design Land NYC, we are counting our blessings and reviewing our most beloved projects of 2020.

What we are most proud of:

Among juggling through many design projects and marketing accounts, we founded our line of graphic printed Hoodies, in a variety of colors. We released a line of kids hoodies that come in the same color ways, with the choice of Lady Liberty print, or a print of your choice that fits our guidelines. This is our proudest achievement of 2020, marking the beginning of our exclusive Design Land Store and assigning 2020 as one of our most remarkable years yet. We will continue adding products to our line and we are thrilled to see where our creativity takes us in Design Land NYC shop 2021.

What our biggest challenge was:

Adapting our work and business during a global pandemic was without doubt the biggest challenge for Design Land NYC. In the midst of combating the quarantine blues, a temporary shutdown of the fashion industry and redefining ways to collaborate while following health guidelines were all part of the new normal on which we now productively and efficiently function. It took time and effort to change, yet we evolved and grew stronger despite circumstances. This year was a lot about adaption and flexibility, and we overcame obstacles by morphing our ways around the situation. Like Eleanor Roosevelt has once said "With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts", we prepare to move on, refreshed and ready to approach any new challenges!

Our most important lesson:

“Life is Short and unexpected.” More than ever we have faced the fleeting character of life and have learned that we should truly follow our dreams now, as tomorrow is never guaranteed. We have learned to live, not only by executing solely work we believe in and are passionate about, but also in taking care of ourselves and each other. We want to be present and enjoy our lives moments, by taking action and putting our best effort into the products and services we provide. This year has helped us realized how impactful our work can be for the people involved, the receiving consumers and society as a whole. Along with the sudden and obvious realization of our momentary existence, with the potential of setting an influential footprint in the sand of time, we discovered our resilience, whether individual or communal. 2020 could not be represented better than by definition of resilience. The label is perfectly justified to say the least, and has become an increasing quality in our lifestyle and work system. Through our newfound resilience in these times of uncertainty we have managed to break through and thrive professionally, maintaining a healthy state of mind.
